Agent procedure to upgrade DGE-Xs
The Kaseya VSA agent can be used to upgrade Traverse DGE-extensions remotely, without
requiring a remote control connection to the machine. This is done running the DGE-X installer
in silent mode.
The ZIP file contains two procedures:
"Upgrade DGE-X to version 9.5.11 from Internet" and "Upgrade DGE-X to version 9.5.11 from VSA"
"Upgrade DGE-X to version 9.5.11 from Internet" will download and install the installer from our servers while "Upgrade DGE-X to version 9.5.11 from VSA" will require the installer to be previously uploaded to the VSA server.
The instructions will help with a step-by-step on how to upgrade Traverse DGE-X.
In case of a version upgrade, the first line of the script needs to be edited to reflect the new version number and the rest of the procedure will use that version number accordingly.

This saves me so much time! We have 32 DGE Extensions and now I don't have to visit each one (probably 15 minutes each to update Traverse Components via RDP) to update the Traverse software. I have had to manually edit the Procedure to install the latest version, but updating the variables is not hard. Thank you!

Also, the logging apparently does not work. What is the command update to enable logging from the Traverse Installer .EXE file? Currently your script says: echo "C:\temp\#traverseinstaller#" -i silent >>>> "C:\temp\installtraverse.bat"
Is there a logging switch?
The logging mechanism from Traverse is actually locally on the DGE Extension endpoint. There is an opportunity to elevate this script to pull the log from the Traverse operating folder.
