Prevent acess to non whitelisted website
This Agent procedure creates a proxy on the computer to block access to any websites but the whitelisted one.
When the procedure is being scheduled, it will prompt for a list or websites to add to the whitelist, these websites will be the only ones accessible from Internet Explorer. It will not work with other browsers.
This procedure affect Registry Keys, you may want to perform at registry backup prior to scheduling it. It also restarts the endpoint at the end for the changes to take effect.
In case multiple websites are added, they need to be separated using ";"
To add more websites at a later date, it will be required to re-add the previous websites for the list to be complete.
Internet Explorer Whitelist has no reviews.
FYI - this method causes issues with WebRoot Secure Anywhere and agents checking into the WRSA website, even if the recommended websites are unblocked. It causes latency to open websites and this is the primary reason that WRSA agents fail to check into the web console after a time period.
