Service Desk Ticket Summary

I am looking for a ticket summary based on our Service Desk. I would like it to be a chart that shows how many tickets were opened over a length of time. So maybe a 12 month span show Open vs. closed. I vision a line or bar chart that show open in one color and closed in another. We would like this to give to Administration to understand the demands of the service desk.
